Benjamin Sadock MD is the Menas S. Gregory Professor of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine where he is both a clinician and educator. He is the author or editor of over 100 publications including 50 textbooks in Psychiatry.

He has had a long-standing interest in the field of sex therapy and was one of the founding members of the Eastern Association of Sex Therapy in New York which was the forerunner of the Society of Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR).

He is a Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and of the American College of Physicians.

Dr Sadock has been the recipient of several awards including the Academic Achievement Award from New York Medical College where he received his MD. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society and was appointed Faculty Scholar at the NYU School of Medicine in 2000.
